Senior Cloud Storage Software Engineer
Job Description:
IAGS System Software Engineering Group is a leading organization in the open source community and
software industry. It is an organization with a strong technical atmosphere, spirit of innovation, and
collaborative environment. SSE Cloud Software Engineering Storage team has led storage development
in open source programs such as OpenStack, Ceph, Rook, MinIO and SODA. We built technical
leadership in the projects, contributed to feature development, stability, scalability, security, simplicity,
interoperability and performance. We are looking for a senior storage software engineer to work with
our Intel engineering teams across different BUs/Geos and the open source community. As a part of our
leadership team, you will touch all above projects, with a focus on Ceph development and customer
solution build-up & development. The job offers a variety of opportunities, including but not limited to:
- Grow Intel's technical leadership in the open source community for cloud storage domain,
including architecture design, code contributions, code review, winning status of core
committer/reviewer/Project Technical Lead, and building technical influence on project
direction.
- Participate in feature design and implementation by working with other Intel teams together, to
deliver Intel Architecture IA platform features or optimization solutions.
- Work with the industry to drive the open source storage domain with Intel's strategy, enable
Intel's customers in the technology development, deployment and business wins, which
contribute to Intel business growth.
- Evangelize and influence the open source community, may represent Intel in various working
groups or committees, and present at conferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or master candidate in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- Excellent understanding of Intel architecture, Linux/FreeBSD like system
- Proficient in C++ programming, solid script language programming skills
- Strong technical skills and experience on cloud; expertise in one or more of virtualization, container,
Ceph
- Proven track record and technical leadership in your current position and career.
- Strong technical communication skills- Collaborative, innovative, self-motivated, and adaptive to
change
- Experienced in working with global teams, and with customers and partners from Industry.
- Be interest to Intel products and has passion to develop features for IA stickiness.
