岗位职责:
The Role
Tesla is seeking a Intern for Low Voltage subfunction. You need to be able to efficiently work with large amounts of information in order to process new methods and make the correct conclusions in a timely manner. A strong technical background in diagnosing complex electromechanical systems with heavy software content and deployed in safety-critical applications is required. Together with Tesla product engineer you will be responsible for activities such as engineering and manufacturing to allow a future sustainable and improved product. This role must be passionate about the product, a strong critical thinker with great fluency understanding technical system-level architecture and issues.
The Department
The responsibility of Service Engineering, as part of Vehicle Software Engineering, is to provide end to end engineering solution based on customer needs, to improve product's quality, serviceability, sustainability and to implement changes to the customers based on high iteration speed.

Responsibilities
• Work with Tesla engineer to debug low voltage systems and perform diagnostics on field failures both remotely - looking at data logged by the vehicle, and directly in the field with onboard diagnostic tools.
• Work with Tesla engineer for component level failure Analysis for low voltage controllers and harness, identify new failure modes that design team should avoid in the next generation of product.
• Work with quality and manufacturing teams to ensure new issues are fully investigated and that countermeasures are in place.
• Responsible for developing automatic diagnostic logics and diagnostic alerts for low voltage driven functions.
• Massive data analysis is required to triage low voltage related issues.
• Responsible for service product development, including complex systematic functionalities.
• Review user experience issues and deficiencies, and escalate those to development teams that can be addressed by firmware or hardware improvements and/or revised functional specifications.
• Collaborate tightly with Tesla’s hardware and software teams to ensure efficient and economical implementation and validation of new features, components, and systems.
• Identify improvements for serviceability of the product for the purpose of reducing costs.
Requirements
•Undergraduate in Automotive Engineering / E&E Engineering / Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering or similar.
•Systematic knowledge for vehicle low voltage controllers and components aer required, such as “PCBA” (printed circuit board assembly); “FPGA” (field programmable gate array); “ASIC” (application specific integrated circuit) and Microcontroller.
•Hands-on experience in development, test and validation of automotive system.
•Have experience in using oscilloscope to acquire voltage/current trace. Be able to use tools like CANoe, CANape and CANalyzer is a plus.
•Able to read or interpret Python and C/C++. Experience with data acquisition and analysis and processing tools, including one or more programming or scripting languages is a plus
•Able to read, interpret electrical schematics. Experience with PCB design systems such as Altium NEXUS is a plus.
•Able to read, interpret and design mechanical drawings. Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA is a plus.
•Be fluent in English (additional foreign languages a plus)
